The Making of Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck becomes damaged goods
Glenn Beck rises again

Oof, I just finished reading this in-depth history of Glenn Beck’s life and radio career, and I can honestly say I know more about him than I ever cared to. It’s a rather scummy story, one that might make you feel gross reading it, but at least I now have a better perspective on Beck’s persona and what he is going for in his TV and radio shows.

yeah, Glenn Beck has had a crazy life! it’s amazing to me that, even after sobering up, he didn’t seem to notice his own pattern of manipulating and abusing the people around him. I never would have pegged him for a Mormon, either. I’m curious to read “The 5,000 Year Leap”, just to see what the fuss is.

I admire Glenn Beck a lot. He tells the truth with a following proof and evidence so what’s wrong with
exposing the truth? No one is perfect however what ever he exposed is great….. Van Jones & Anita & Acorn just to mention a few. If he’s wrong how come the WH never call him….. he’s still waiting >>>.

why on earth would the White House call Glenn Beck?? Also, he hasn’t “exposed” anything about Van Jones or ACORN (and certainly hasn’t followed with proof or evidence); he’s merely made a bunch of broad accusations that are more character assassinations than charges of wrongdoing.

HamTheChimp is so off base. i watch Glenn Beck every night. The man is nothing but factual. Everything he has ever said in regards to Van Jones, Annita Dunn, and all the other Socialist in the Obama Admin are factual. You cannot just say he is a character assassin when you have the internet at your finger tips to research these clowns. Glenn will start by making his point then kill the wackos with there own words by playing clips of there speeches. its brilliant. I suppose Hamthechimp listens to Chris Matthews………… Bwhahahhahahahahahaha!

“No one is perfect” he condemns millions of truthers as evil or mentally ill or both and used a miscarriage of a rival as a cruel insult to get higher ratings you stupid idiot. Sick is what you are for using that vile line to equate him with everyone else, including those who spend their time being kind all day long and working hard not to do wrong but and doing volunteer work to help the poor and needy. Stop insulting millions by equating them with an evil panderer and slanderer. You’re just as bad as him for approving of him and your careless slander.

Heretics are not “fine” with 60+ million Calvinists, nor are they fine millions of others who consider them to be heretics too.

    Steve, You’re absolutely right.

The only arguments i’ve ever heard Beck-Bashers come up with, are.. “He’s a fata** that eats while on live television”.. or “He’s a crybaby and Warmonger!”. You people bash Glenn Beck for reasons that don’t apply to what he’s actually saying. On rare occasion, I’ll get people that tell me, “He said this and this and this and it was wrong for him to say..” and I’ll usually agree with them on most of it, but they can only name half a dozen incidents. Glenn Beck is human. He makes mistakes like all of us.

Most people blindly bash him instead of giving him a shot.
WATCH GLENN BECK PEOPLE! I’VE WATCHED A BUNCH OF OTHER CRAP, AND HE TELLS THE UGLY TRUTH!

    • April 9, 2010 at 9:41 pm

“You people bash Glenn Beck for reasons that don’t apply to what he’s actually saying” and don’t ya know that “You people” that you heard say those things represent millions of others? Idiot. Thanks for showing the low extremely immoral and dumb quality of his fans (and you’re not just a small example that’s for sure).

Just because you may not have asked for, and been givin, forgiveness in your life, doesn’t mean someone else has not. I’m sure you’ve done nasty sh*t in your life too. I have. Please dont be threatened by this man. He means you no harm… Even if you do see him in your sleep… Sweet dreams!(of chalkboards!!)

    • April 9, 2010 at 9:42 pm

And whatever you say is true because you said so. Are you mentally ill? So you think you’re forgiven when you’re using foul language in public? Blind.

Glenn will tell anyone that before 10 years ago, anything people say about him is probably true. He wasn’t a nice guy. Now that we’re past that, please stop trying to gain some deeper insight by reading a slanted history of a former drunk. How can you pretend to make valid associations between his past and present? I doubt you cared to look into our President’s past. Did you judge Obama by who he hung out with in college, what kind of job he had (although, I don’t think he ever had a job outside of ‘community organizing’), or his parents? If you did, you’d peg him as a Marxist. You’d peg him as someone who believes America needs to be something different from what it was intended to be. Didn’t he campaign with, “we’re months away from fundamentally transforming America…” or something like that? Yeah he did. I remember hearing it with my own ears. Don’t you dare tell to ‘not focus on the language’.

you don’t think that glenn beck should be judged based on who he was well into his adult life, but you think obama should be judged based on who his parents were? doesn’t that seem a little strange to you?

A MAN AGAINST INSANITY by Paul de Kruif.
The story of a doctor who conquered his own insanity and now shows others the way back, by the author of Microbe Hunters.
"An old master Paul de Kruif surely is. His latest book has pace, it has style, it has a sharply drawn hero, and, most important, it tells one of the great stories of our times." -Washington Post and Times Herald.
