Hermanos Inglesos feat. MeMe – “Wanderland”

via dangerous minds

I enjoyed this video, which I wouldn’t say is NSFW but probably will get you some pretty weird looks from anyone watching over your shoulder.

This video is by the same director…. I remember seeing it on boing boing (I think) a while back.  Aaaaand this one is probably NSFW.

I just searched the archives to find previous posts I had written about MARK GORMELY but I haven’t???? Ever???  Time to fix that RIGHT NOW because YES new MARK GORMLEY video!!!  This is the jam of the summer no doubt, and the most valuable use of the next 9 minutes of your time!  If you are unfamiliar with Mr Gormely’s work I suggest you watch this video as well, the one responsible for making him a beloved internet sensation:

“on the air”, david lynch and mark frost

dangerous minds: david lynch’s on the air
I’m about two-thirds of the way through the second season of Twin Peaks right now, and I’m really enjoying it. I had no idea that David Lynch and Mark Frost made another, short-lived TV show after Twin Peaks, though! Today, Dangerous Minds (one of my favorite websites) posted about “On The Air”, which only lasted three episodes on ABC before being canceled. I’m sure that it hasn’t ever been released on DVD, and Dangerous Minds links to a w4r3z site where all seven episodes can be downloaded (use your best judgment about whether to download from that site or not). I have to say I didn’t understand the “minisode” that was posted (it seemed like a lot of scenes were missing?), but it was really funny nonetheless. Check it out:

alcala: portraits by a serial killer

Rodney Alcala photoset on Flickr
Rodney Alcala found guilty of five counts of murder
LA Weekly – the fine art of killing
I hadn’t heard of this guy before today, but apparently he’s some famous serial murderer from LA. What brought this story to my attention was the fact that the Orange County Police Department released a series of photos, taken by Alcala, in an attempt to identify other potential victims. The photos are pretty nice portraits in and of themselves, but the backstory makes them creepy and mysterious. By the way, Alcala’s other claim to fame is that he was a winning contestant on “The Dating Game”.

He had already murdered two people at the time he appeared on this show! CREEPY

A MAN AGAINST INSANITY by Paul de Kruif.
The story of a doctor who conquered his own insanity and now shows others the way back, by the author of Microbe Hunters.
"An old master Paul de Kruif surely is. His latest book has pace, it has style, it has a sharply drawn hero, and, most important, it tells one of the great stories of our times." -Washington Post and Times Herald.

I found that in the back of a copy of Nova Express by William S. Burroughs.

My name is Alex and I live in LA the Bay Area.
