I just searched the archives to find previous posts I had written about MARK GORMELY but I haven’t???? Ever???  Time to fix that RIGHT NOW because YES new MARK GORMLEY video!!!  This is the jam of the summer no doubt, and the most valuable use of the next 9 minutes of your time!  If you are unfamiliar with Mr Gormely’s work I suggest you watch this video as well, the one responsible for making him a beloved internet sensation:

we’re all in the same gang

Until recently, I was unaware that there was a West Coast early-90’s rap superstar “We Are The World” style anti-gang violence rap song. But this song is pretty sweet, I have to say. I dunno who half of these people are, but mostly they are pretty awesome. There is also Digital Underground, who I still don’t fully get, even today. What a weird age. Great song/video though!

phil collins island

phil collins island

The actual island consisted of some cardboard spread on the sidewalk, a table and some chairs, a boombox playing some of Phil Collin’s hits, and some folks sitting around drinking beers. SO AWESOME.

A MAN AGAINST INSANITY by Paul de Kruif.
The story of a doctor who conquered his own insanity and now shows others the way back, by the author of Microbe Hunters.
"An old master Paul de Kruif surely is. His latest book has pace, it has style, it has a sharply drawn hero, and, most important, it tells one of the great stories of our times." -Washington Post and Times Herald.

I found that in the back of a copy of Nova Express by William S. Burroughs.

My name is Alex and I live in LA the Bay Area.
