It’s impossible to overstate how closely this man’s poster art was inextricably linked to my entire idea of “movies” when I was a kid. Browsing the gallery, its clear that I didn’t always even realize it; there are posters he did that must have clicked with me on some level, but I’m only now seeing them and thinking “oh YEAH he did that!” Struzan’s art might not be the most high-brow, but it definitely captures a childlike sense of wonder and adventure that few others would be able to acheive.
