“peep show”

episode one – part 3

I’m pretty behind the times on British comedy- apparently this show has been on the air since 2003, and although I’d heard mention of it before, I hadn’t actually seen an episode until the other night. So far the one episode is all I’ve seen, but I’m hoping to track down some streaming episodes online. I hear that Season One is available in the U.S., but all the rest of the seasons are so far unavailable outside the UK. Definitely another example of why the Brits are the best at mining comedy out of horrendously uncomfortable social situations.

EDIT: It looks like the dude that uploaded the first episode has most of the rest of them uploaded. I started watching the second episode and had to stop because I got incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed for the characters. This might be one of those shows you have to watch with other people.

A MAN AGAINST INSANITY by Paul de Kruif.
The story of a doctor who conquered his own insanity and now shows others the way back, by the author of Microbe Hunters.
"An old master Paul de Kruif surely is. His latest book has pace, it has style, it has a sharply drawn hero, and, most important, it tells one of the great stories of our times." -Washington Post and Times Herald.

I found that in the back of a copy of Nova Express by William S. Burroughs.
