This ended up working moderately well. I didn’t eat anything for 10 hours before I went to sleep, and I woke up two hours earlier than I usually do. I think I probably could have woken up even earlier, but I had terrible insomnia- I think in part because I was so freaking hungry. Although I hadn’t intended for my last meal to be 10 hours before I fell asleep (since I’d been planning on falling asleep earlier), I think I’m going to start aiming for something more like “no food 4 hours before sleep” or something like that.
